Expanded Learning Registration

The Expanded Learning Program: Our voluntary Expanded Learning Program provides students with homework assistance, academic enrichment, physical and safety enrichment, social enrichment, and a healthy snack, all within a safe environment.  Students are supervised by highly trained and qualified staff including program leaders and site coordinators.

Program Attendance Requirements: Students who are in the Expanded Learning Program must follow the Program Attendance Requirements summarized below:

  • Must attend the program five days per week from 2:45 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.
  • Must not have more than five unexcused absences per school year
  • Must not have more than five unexcused early releases per year (before 6:00 P.M.)
  • Must not have more than five late pick-ups per year (after 6:00 P.M.)

The Education Code states the intent of afterschool programs like the Expanded Learning Program is for students to participate in the full day of the program every day. Students must attend the program every day for the full range of hours to continue enrollment. Students are subject to dismissal from the program if these Program Attendance Requirements are not met.

Pick-up and Dismissal: The program ends at 6:00 P.M. each day.  If you expect to arrive late, please contact your child’s school as soon as possible.

Authorization for Student Pick-Up: Parents/guardians may authorize additional adults to pick-up their child on the Authorization for Student Pick-Up Sheet.  ISANA will not release students to individuals younger than 18 years old or to individuals who are not authorized by parents/guardians for pick-up on this form.  You will need to update the Authorization for Student Pick-Up Form in the Expanded Learning office to add individuals who can pick-up your child.

Notification of ISANA Board Meetings

Parents and community members are notified of ISANA Board meetings in compliance with the Brown Act.  All meeting agendas are posted at each school site and at ISANA’s administrative offices, as well as on the website.
